Adam’s honesty, care, and compassion helped guide me through my journey with nearly daily feedback. Trying to learn on my own and only getting 20 minutes a year with my endocrinologist wasn’t enough to find the answers I needed. Neil’s support provided the guidance I had been missing
Sarah provided so much valuable information and resources that I never would’ve received from a doctor. Her insights on how different factors affect diabetes and how to manage them gave me the confidence to navigate my condition. It was comforting to know that I wasn’t alone in my struggles, and Sarah’s support made all the difference.
My biggest challenge before coaching was managing my overnight blood sugars, which consistently hit the 300-400 range. My A1C was 8.4%, and I felt like I had no real help or direction. In my 10 years with T1D, I couldn’t remember the last time I saw anything under 7%. So when my A1C came back at 6.7% just three months into coaching, I was amazed.
What I appreciated most was how attentive my coach, Con, was. He gave me the confidence to make decisions on my own and backed them up with helpful feedback. Now, I feel equipped with the tools and resources I need to handle any challenge. Before the program, one bad blood sugar day would spiral into 5 or 6 bad days in a row. After the program, I’m able to stop it at just 1 or 2. I couldn’t be happier with my patterns and the choices I’m making now.
Coaching gives you a safe space to make changes both in your numbers and your mindset around diabetes.
The fact that Adam is also a T1D makes a world of difference. Instead of waiting hours or days for a response from my doctor, Adam would get back to me right away. This platform truly understands the daily struggles of living with Type 1 diabetes because they’ve experienced it firsthand. I no longer feel alone!
This coaching felt far more personalised than anything I’ve experienced before. I developed a genuine connection with Coach Adam, unlike the usual feeling of being just another appointment in a doctor’s office. It was an incredible experience that truly changed my life.
Working with Adam was much more personal than seeing a doctor. He was not only more invested in my care than an endocrinologist but also had a deeper understanding of what it’s like to live with type 1 diabetes
The main reason I sought coaching was my struggle with insulin sensitivity and resistance. Now that I’ve completed the program, I feel much more confident in managing my diabetes. What I appreciated most was how relatable my coach was—they also have T1D, so they truly understood my struggles and helped me through challenges they’ve experienced themselves. My coach was there for me every step of the way, working through every issue together. One-on-one coaching is absolutely worth it, and if you’re considering it, I’m sure you’ll benefit as much as I did.
I applied for coaching because I was searching for a mindset shift. Most doctors focus on telling you what to do, but they don’t address the mental aspect of making real change. I knew what I needed to do medically, but I didn’t feel like I had the time, energy, or capacity to make those changes, which left me frustrated. During coaching, Brooke guided me through different patterns, mindsets, and personalized strategies that finally gave me the deeper understanding of diabetes I’d been looking for.
Now that I’m back at work, I’m excited to put into practice everything I learned over the summer, and I plan to continue coaching. I feel like I’ve gained so much knowledge, and my numbers and time in range are reflecting that. I’ve also become more self-aware and able to adjust my strategies throughout the day, depending on what’s happening. After coaching, I feel more empowered and confident, but in a way that’s flexible rather than rigid.
You have to be open and vulnerable with this program because it’s all about reframing your mindset to do what’s best for your body. If you’re not honest with yourself and your coach, it won’t work. But it’s so easy to open up because all the coaches are diabetic too, and they really get it. They aren’t ‘perfect diabetics’ with flawless numbers—they empathize with your struggles and truly understand what you’re going through. Investing in this program is worth it, because you are worth investing in!
As a newly diagnosed type one diabetic, I found it challenging to overcome my fears, which left me feeling sad and anxious before starting group coaching.
Now, my time in range has increased by 20%, and I’ve become more accepting of my diagnosis. I feel empowered to explore my T1D experience with curiosity. I’ve let go of my fears and gained so much valuable knowledge. I’m more confident in my bolusing for different foods and, most importantly, I believe in myself. I’ve shifted my approach to diabetes, embracing curiosity and the belief that I can lead a long, happy, and fulfilling life!
My biggest challenge before starting 1:1 coaching was a mix of smaller issues that had a significant impact on my life. A lack of self-belief, perfectionism regarding my time in range and A1C, along with high stress and anxiety—all these factors made it hard for me to manage my diabetes confidently. There were times I felt hopeless and sad, wishing for a way to feel ‘normal’ again.
Working with Con in 1:1 coaching allowed me to open up, identify the root causes of my stress, and break free from the habits that undermined my self-confidence. I feel stronger, more at ease, and genuinely happier. Over the past three months, my self-confidence has skyrocketed, making diabetes management so much simpler. From our very first session, Con understood my struggles and really listened. She challenged me to confront my self-confidence issues, and I know I wouldn’t be where I am today without her support.
I’ve seen a significant improvement in my time in range, with fewer ‘rollercoaster’ trends on my Dexcom CGM and more consistent, flat lines. I have newfound confidence in managing my diabetes and in myself as a person. I feel like I’m on the path to becoming the best version of myself.
I will always cherish our coaching sessions, as they helped me grow into a stronger, more confident individual. I’m eternally grateful to Con for guiding me toward the inner peace I didn’t even know I needed.
Before starting 1:1 coaching with Con, I struggled with my relationship to food. I often felt confused about what to eat and constantly stressed over my next meal.
Before working with Tyler, I struggled to overcome my fear of hypoglycemia and felt like I didn’t truly ‘own’ my diabetes. This lack of ownership affected my day-to-day life and my relationships. I felt inadequate in managing my diabetes and lacked confidence in my abilities. With Tyler’s guidance over the past three months, I was able to set realistic action steps for my diabetes management. This support empowered me to try outdoor activities like hiking and camping without letting my fear of lows hold me back! My self-awareness has increased significantly, and I now have a sense of peace within myself and in managing my T1D. One-on-one coaching has rekindled my excitement for life and the possibilities that lie ahead!
Before I began 1:1 coaching, I was afraid of my diabetes. It felt like a burden, and I wasn’t living happily because there were so many frustrations I didn’t understand. After working with Roberta, I now approach situations with a much calmer mindset. Instead of getting overwhelmed and staying high for hours, I have a variety of tools to manage outcomes effectively. It’s incredible to respond positively to different challenges without feeling consumed by my diabetes.
I now see my diabetes as a part of who I am, rather than viewing it negatively. Roberta has shown me that living freely with diabetes is entirely possible. It’s not a sentence to feel down and negative all the time. You can still be yourself and navigate the challenges that come with it. After completing my coaching program, I feel grounded and confident moving forward, knowing I can handle almost anything with the right preparation!
Having diabetes for most of my life, I felt overwhelmed before starting coaching with Con. I struggled to find someone who could relate to my experience and offer tailored support. Thanks to 1:1 coaching with Con, I’ve significantly improved my confidence and understanding of diabetes management and how it affects my body. Discovering my basal rates and grasping insulin sensitivity were breakthrough moments during our sessions. I began using a CGM while working with Con, which helped me identify patterns, and now my time in range is over 80%! Con’s accessibility during our time together was invaluable for troubleshooting diabetes in real-time. This highly personalized approach is unlike anything else out there. I’m leaving coaching equipped with the knowledge and tools I need to continue thriving!
I’m now more enthusiastic about discussing T1D because I feel much more knowledgeable and in control! In addition to the mindset shift, I successfully lowered my A1C from 8.5 to 7.4 and implemented sustainable changes to my daily management—like pre-bolusing! Coaching was a new experience for me, something I had never tried before. After working with Lucy, I’m proud of my decision to invest in myself and my health
Before this coaching program, I felt an overwhelming sense of anxiety about everything—from food to exercise to hormones. There were so many challenges: a lack of knowledge, experience, and support.
With Roberta’s guidance, I’ve learned how to manage Jack’s T1D with greater confidence as a mom, which has helped Jack feel that it doesn’t have such a negative impact on his life. We’re still learning and will continue to do so for the rest of Jack’s life, but now we feel much more prepared to tackle the challenges ahead.
Roberta was incredibly professional yet also warm and approachable. She truly went above and beyond—her genuine care made all the difference.
Having a young child diagnosed with T1D is devastating and heart-wrenching, impacting the entire family’s life. Con and his team have provided us with invaluable support to make my son’s diagnosis more manageable.
Their expertise and availability are truly remarkable. I’m incredibly grateful for their guidance. They educate you on T1D in a detailed and comprehensive way and are well-versed in optimizing pumps and CGM devices, which can often feel overwhelming. Most importantly, Con and his team offer our family emotional support and help us maintain perspective on how to teach our child to live a long and healthy life.
